Be sure to check out CardinalSportsZone.com over the next few weeks to keep up with how the former Cards are doing in the NBA Summer Leagues. When all the games are done for the day (with former Cards in them), we will update you on how they did for that day. For today, there is only one…

There will be plenty of predictions made from now up until the 2014 football season finally starts. As I always say with these, they don’t mean much, but they’re fun to discuss. And also it is interesting to see how national writers view the Cardinals heading into the ACC. I am waiting until kickoff gets closer…
According to Adam Zagoria of zagsblog.com, small forward Derrick Jones (Radnor, Pennsylvania) will visit Louisville sometime in August. His AAU coach said that Jones will also visit Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, and Florida in the same month. This is not necessarily his top 5, as he visited UConn last week and says he enjoyed that trip.

It’s only July, but with the Cards officially in the ACC now, that opening football game against Miami on September 1 feels like it’s right around the corner. Because of that, it seemed like a good time to update you on the wide receiver record books at UofL. Senior DeVante Parker has a chance to…
Kevin Ryan of 247 Sports released a Top 10 for new coaching hires from this off-season. The rankings are based on “past performance, fit at the new school, possibility of future success, and other criteria.” Bobby Petrino was ranked as the 4th best hire. What sticks out if you look at the list is who…
Here is the latest Antonio Blakeney mixtape from courtsidefilms.com. This was at the NBA Top 100 Camp. Blakeney is a 5-star shooting guard from Orlando, Florida. If you didn’t already know or haven’t kept up with CSZ recruiting posts, Louisville fans will want to pay attention to this name.
The NBA Summer League’s are always exciting because you have guys out there fighting for a job. If you see a game, you may see about 10-20 people watching on the sidelines, so it may not look like the games mean much. But those guys are out there battling for a roster spot. That will…
Former Louisville Center Samardo Samuels will join Russ Smith on the New Orleans Pelicans summer league roster. Samuels went undrafted in the 2010 draft before signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Samuels averaged 9.5 ppg and 3 rpg for Olimpia Milano in Italy last season. The Pelicans will play in the Las Vegas summer league that starts July 11th….
Bobby Petrino just announced at the ACC Celebration at Fourth Street Live! that the opening football game this season against the Miami Hurricanes will be a Blackout! We are just two short months away from that game on September 1! Here are some photos of the black uniforms.
In preparation for today’s ACC Celebration event at Fourth Street Live!, the mascots from around the ACC got into town yesterday. Needless to say, they were busy and looked like they had a lot of fun. I think this should happen more often.
The ACC Celebration happening at Fourth Street Live! was scheduled to start at 5 pm. Because of the World Cup match involving the U.S. Men’s National Team, the event probably won’t start until around 6, when the match is over.
It is finally here! July 1, 2014. The University of Louisville is an official member of the Atlantic Coast Conference! Not the Big East. Not the American Athletic Conference. This is the ACC! Back in November of 2012, it was announced that this move would happen. The date seemed so far away. We would have…
He has done it again. @CrumsRevenge from thecrunchzone.com has made just another incredible video. This one is a tribute to all the teams, coaches, and players at UofL. Try to watch it and not get filled with some kind of emotion. It can’t happen if you are a fan of the Cards. I love it!
Here are a couple videos with coaches from the ACC discussing Louisville coming into the conference. Pretty cool to hear their opinions on it. It’s almost here!
By Justin Renck and Steve Rummage: We are excited to begin a new weekly series that will update you on where the Cards stand with their top basketball recruiting targets for the class of 2015. The plan is to release a new post every Monday and give any updates there may be. Rather than talk…
The University of Louisville released a video about entering the ACC. I believe that I saw where they will show this at the Fan Event at Fourth Street Live on Tuesday, when UofL officially enters the ACC. In the video, Louisville’s own Jennifer Lawrence narrates. Enjoy! http://www.gocards.com/allaccess/?media=455906
In his first Tri State Classic appearance this weekend, Louisville recruit Isaiah Briscoe put up 61 points in a game. Although it looks like defense was optional, and maybe even frowned upon, 61 is still impressive. We don’t need this video to know how good of a player he is. He recently cut his list…
According to this tweet by Alex Kennedy, who is an NBA Editor/Writer for Basketball Insiders, Luke Hancock will get a shot to prove himself in the NBA summer league with the Orlando Magic. You can’t ask for anything more than an opportunity, and that is what Luke will get. Best of luck to him! Luke…
