Cardinal Catch-Up 2/12/16:Mango Update, Dunking Emojis & ACC Schedule For Next 2 Years

Cardinal Head

It’s Friday. I don’t want to post 5 different stories that you have to read on a Friday afternoon. You are welcome. Here is a summary of today’s events or what we at CSZ like to call the Cardinal Catch-Up.

  • It was reported late last night that Mango would not return this season from his foot injury. Today Rick Pitino told us that he would not apply for a medical redshirt.
  • Rick also told us that he encouraged Chinanu Onuaku to test out the new draft camp rules. Here is how that made Steve feel:

  • Rick also stated he hoped he wouldn’t leave Louisville for a long time
  • We also found out the ACC schedules for the next 2 years:

17ACC

  • Kenny also let us know that Louisville’s home ACC opponents in 2017-18 will be Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. The Cardinals’ nine league road games will be at Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
  • Shout-out to Ramsey and Rutherford for scarring me as an adult. From Celibacy to the Valentine’s man (Serial Killer I’m sure) They had you covered! Plus chocolate covered bacon. I may be more afraid of that than the Valentine’s Day killer man. I make this up as I go…..
  • Tune in tomorrow for the CardinalSportsZone show on ESPN 93.9 THE VILLE! We will have Pete Nochta & Marques Maybin in studio alongside myself and your host Steve Rummage. We are on from 10-11 am and brought to you by Doug Budd and homesforsaleinlouisville.net.
  • Check out this weeks edition of LiveWIth55 here. Co-hosted by comedian Spike Davis and featuring a roundtable podcast pep-rally with Daryl Foust, Paige Sherrard & Jacob Pratt. Callers included UberAndre, Marques Maybin, Alvin Sims & a butt dial from Samaki Walker!
  • I am going to leave you with a few things I hope help you have a great weekend CardNation. Stay Blessed!
  • Go check out the UofL Football’s Highlight films from this week: 2015 Highlight Reel, Interception Highlight Reel & Lamar Jackson Highlight Reel. Awesome stuff!

  1. Confused about your article regarding Mango, you state this would be his last year but he’s a redshirt Junior so next season will be his last as a Senior giving him 5 years to play 4… am I correct?
