On Friday night, the UofL women’s soccer team beat Villanova 1-0 and improved their record to 8-3-2 overall and 3-2-2 in Big East play. Charlyn Corral scored a goal in the 2nd half, and the defense did the rest of the work as that is the only goal that the Cards needed in the victory.
Goalkeeper Chloe Kiefer saved 4 shots to get her 16th career shutout and the 6th of this season. She is now tied for 2nd place on the Cardinals’ career shutout list. Read the official UofL press release here.
The Cards will host a big game this Sunday as 11th ranked Georgetown comes to town. The game is at 1:00 at Cardinal Park and will be shown on the CBS Sports Network! Fans can receive free admission with a canned food item.
