Cornerback Kareem Ali Jr. is set to announce his college decision on Thursday afternoon and he is most likely down to three schools: Louisville, Maryland, and Pittsburgh. The 4-star prospect (according to Rivals) is from Sicklerville, New Jersey. He just visited all three schools recently. He was at Pittsburgh June 6th, Maryland June 7th, and Louisville June 9.
Maryland seems to be the team to beat for Ali. His Crystal Ball prediction on 247 Sports is 91% for the Terps. The only other school with a prediction is Penn State, and the last one for them was back in October of 2013. The last 22 predictions, all in 2014 and as recent as June 9th, have him choosing Maryland.
His connection to Louisville is his uncle, Josh Minkins, who played cornerback for Louisville from 2000-2003, so he was coached by Bobby Petrino in his senior season. Ali also spent two days in town on his visit here. So it would not be a complete shock if he chooses the Cards today. But signs are pointing to Maryland on this one.
