Well guys, we aren’t in Kansas anymore. Oh that’s right…we were in Houston, Central Florida and Philly. Sorry guys. With a greater league comes greater interaction. The ACC has impressed me with two of their releases so far (2-2) in @TheACCDN and The ACC Football Challenge App. It’s available on all platforms for just .99 and it allows interactions in game form that could lead you to a trip to the 2014 ACC title game. You can even play as the newly joined Louisville Cardinals and kick your way to Charlotte. Sounds cool to me. The ACC Digital Network is also available on all platforms and takes you behind the scenes of your favorite team in the ACC and lets you watch past games and other fun stuff. Below is the Press Release and the link for the App!

Charlotte, N.C. – Raycom Sports has launched the 2014 edition of the popular gaming app, ACC Football Challenge.  The app, now available for download through Apple, Android and Amazon app stores for just $.99, allows fans to compete in several field goal kicking challenges and gives them the chance to represent their school and win great prizes, including a suite at the 2014 ACC Championship Game.  The 2013 debut edition was downloaded over 500,000 times and had over 12 million games played.

Fans may compete as their favorite school and play its full 2014 ACC football schedule. Additionally, the game features online tournaments and head‐to‐head match‐ups, which allow fans to challenge others and post scores on Facebook and Twitter, all the while keeping track of overall performance on conference and school-specific leaderboards.

The weekly virtual Rivalry Challenge allows fans to represent their schools and play against the fan base of their team’s ACC opponent that week with score updates provided in the app, online and in ACC Network broadcasts.

“Raycom Sports is very excited to launch the 2014 version of ACC Football Challenge,” said Trey Walters, Manager of New Media and Business Development for Raycom Sports.

“Coming off the tremendous success of the debut version last year, with over 500k downloads and over 12 million games played, clearly ACC and college football fans have embraced ACC Football Challenge and we look to build on that success with this year’s edition.”

Throughout the season weekly winners will be drawn to receive an ACC fan prize package, with the grand prize of a suite for family and friends at the 2014 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game. In addition, fans can also win an ACC Tailgate party for their school at an upcoming home game, all by registering at http://www.ACCFootballChallenge.com.
