Rick Pitino held his end of the season press conference today, and laid out many potential storylines to keep an eye on. There are possible players transferring, players being added to the class, and more. We will post about that stuff later. What he did say on this topic wasn’t too shocking, and that is that both Montrezl Harrell and Terry Rozier are “100%” going to leave Louisville to turn pro.

The news isn’t a surprise at all about Montrezl Harrell. I was 95% sure he was gone after last season, so having him back this year was like a bonus. Plus he went through the Senior Night ceremony, so we pretty much expected him to leave.

All season, it has been said that Rozier would also leave. I have held off on saying that just because you never know. Just a sophomore, he could choose to come back and it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise ever. So until it was official, I wasn’t going to count on that to be sure. Even when Pitino said it was 100%, that didn’t sell me. Pitino speaks in hyperbole, and people change their minds all the time, so I still thought he may come back.

Then this happened…

If mom says it, it is probably true.

Now I am sold that Rozier will go, and good for him. Apparently his mom works two jobs and works 16-17 hours a day, and we know his sister has medical problems. So go make money playing the game if you can. No problem with that.

So the Cards look to lose Wayne Blackshear, Montrezl Harrell, and Terry Rozier. That will make the team look pretty different next season. And that probably isn’t all that they will lose. More on that later.
