Today is a huge day for Bobby Petrino and the staff at UofL as they get a Louisville kid to stay home. Aidan Robbins, a 6’3 220 pound 3 Star RB out of Dupont Manual, has chosen to join the flock at the university right next door to his high school.

Robbins, the 11th ranked player in the state of KY, has an impressive list of 21 offers; among them are Vanderbilt, Purdue, Missouri, Cincinnati, Duke, South Carolina, WKU, and UK. With all the offers, it makes locking up his commitment that much more impressive. Mike Summers and Kolby Smith (a teammate of Michael Bush) were the lead recruiters.
During his junior year at Manual, there were many games where Robbins tallied at least 15 carries and a few games with more than 20 carries. With those carries, he was able to average an impressive 3.8 yards a carry. Robbins managed to not have a single fumble while rushing the football per maxpreps.com. This shows that he is dependable and has the potential to become a featured back in Petrino’s system.
Aidan has good speed and athleticism. He also has great acceleration that allows him to burst through the offensive line quickly. Then Robbins speed allows him to run away from defenders. Aidan has great instincts and very, very good vision coming out of the backfield. Robbins’ great physical strength and athleticism makes him extremely difficult to tackle. He’s such a physical and determined runner.
Robbins grew up a Louisville fan. In fact one of, if not his favorite, players was Michael Bush. That’s right that Michael Bush; the same Bush that played for and starred in Bobby Petrino’s system. Much like Bush, Robbins is considered a power back.
Coach Petrino has gotten himself a big, bad, durable RB in the mold of Michael Bush. However, despite Bush’s and Robbins’ paths being similar, Aidan is here to carve his own legacy at the University of Louisville.
