Countdown to Kickoff: 2017 Vs Purdue

Who can forget the opening game of the 2017 campaign. Lamar Jackson was entering the season as the reigning, defending, Heisman Trophy winner. The expectations were super high for the Cards as they entered Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to face Louisville native and former UofL QB Jeff Brohm.

The game ended up being a tough fought 35-28 victory for the Cards. Lamar looked like he would be a two-time Heisman winner with 378 yards passing and 2 TDs and the 107 yards rushing. It was the last first game for Lamar in a Cards uniform.
