Louisville 53 – UK 10
At the beginning of the season I said 10-2. One loss to a team we shouldn’t lose to & one to ND/Miami/UK
I am going to be happy to be off one. This uk team is one of the best they’ve had & they aren’t good enough. We have the Top Gun Jeff Brohm at the helm. He gets the rivalry. He won’t golly gee shucks this game. Plus that team down the road will be in shambles. We know they aren’t good enough. There Coach said they weren’t good enough & most importantly THEY know they aren’t good enough. The times of that team wishing, wanting, hoping & praying to be relevant are over.
I’m not gonna predict who’s scoring. I’m not gonna say defensive or special teams score. What I am gonna say is that we are gonna kick the ever loving $%#@ out of them. Years of frustration will be released on the field.
Louisville 52 k******y 10
(Yes this is an emotional pick, score will be way different. Lol)
Jeff Nunn
Louisville 42 – UK 17
UK has won the last four matchups and quite frankly they dominated the line. But people forget 2 things, 1) the series history goes back and forth with streaks of wins and 2) Louisville didn’t have a coach that understood the rivalry.
I was concerned when the spread opened at only 6.5 but this game has the same feel at the game against BC earlier this year when everyone thought BC would play the Cards very close only to lose 56-28.
This will likely be the last time the Governors Cup will be played in Louisville. With conference expansions, UK will be forced to play an additional conference game in the next year or two so they will have to drop a non conference game and they won’t drop one of their lollipop guaranteed victory games as they will need as many freebies as they can to be bowl eligible. Therefore, they will drop Louisville.
Jeff Brohm isn’t losing this game!

Louisville 41 – UK 14
Brohm shows Stoops who’s boss in Ky & why this is the teams Super Bowl! They come out swinging. Jack lights them up like Boston College & shows a big game before ACC Championship. Cards start showing the Mildcats why they will not win again for a while.

Louisville hasn’t won this game in so long, and the drought is even longer at home. Last year Louisville lost 13-26. This year’s Louisville team looks to be a much improved team. On the flip side, the school up the road doesn’t appear to be as good as last year’s team. Enough of all that, y’all are reading for my prediction; Cards dominate 34-24. #GoCards!

The Wildcats always get up for this game, but this time Louisville will too. Cards rushing attack sets the tone against UK, and Jack Plummer has a couple big moments in the second half.

Louisville 38 – UK 21
Stoops and company will be up to their usual shenanigans but if the Miami game taught us anything it’s that this year’s Cards aren’t bothered by that. Regardless of what anyone says about him, Jack Plummer is having the best year of his career and is going to continue playing at a high level Saturday. It wouldn’t surprise me if we see the offense reach deep into the bag of tricks to light up the score board. Our defense may bend at times but they don’t break! It’s going to start up front with Gillotte and Rieger getting to the quarterback. Combined with timely sacks, I’m looking forward to a few momentum changing turnovers as well to seal the victory. Jeff Brohm is 14-3 in rivalry games as a head coach. After Saturday he will be 15-3 and little brother will know their place again!!
