A lot of people are pumped about the Offense for the upcoming season and why shouldn’t they be? I am pumped for the defensive side of the ball as well. The Cards return a lot of experience on the defensive side of the ball and that makes me happy. One thing that Marques Maybin always…

The University of Louisville Football Cardinals had a decent NFL Draf/Free Agent session. Sheldon Rankins got drafted. Burgess signed a FA deal with Miami. Aaron Epps signed a FA deal with Cincy. Kelby Johnson signed a FA deal with the Bucks. All were expected to get a shot. There was one name however that…
Our guy Terrence Williams, AKA T-Will, is coming home to the Ville for a few weeks. He wants to spend some time with CardNation. He is going to the movies or going Bowling this weekend and is going to let people know on his social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat) so be on the lookout for…
Here at Louisville we have seen a lot of players come and go. Go pro, graduate, transfer and even dismissed. NO MATTER WHAT we always will love, support and lift up our players. If there has been anything the city of Louisville has made apparent this year is that when it comes to our sports…
We at Cardinal Sports Zone are a member of the 93.9 family. Whenever Rick Pitino comes on we do our very best to share it. Our guys Mike Rutherford & John Ramsey had the incomparable Rick Pitino on their show today. He had a lot of interesting things to say and I will not spoil one…
Here is a link from loyal CSZ reader Robby Dull from earlier today where @theACCDN ‘s own Jeff Fischel interviewed UofL AD Tom Jurich & head football coach Bobby Petrino. Enjoy!
Corey Ray is good at Baseball. I’ve watched him for three years now and the transformation has been awesome. Devin Hairston is having a similar progression too so watch out 2017. Back to Corey though. People have been throwing his name around as a first round pick all year. His projections have gotten higher and…

Who couldn’t use a new Damion Lee Wallpaper? Everything I have posted with Damion’s name has been read and shared at a pretty high rate. I told him this a few weeks ago after the CardinalSportsZone show on 93.9 The Ville. (Cheap Pop). He loved the Dam-oji I came up with. (shout out to Troy…
I have been a Louisville Lacrosse fan for about 3 years now. It is a sport that has only been around since 2008 but a sport the University of Louisville has been on the verge of jumping into the upper echelon for the past 3 years. There has been a speed bump in front of them…

We all have been waiting for Bobby to come back to Louisville so that we can see the 50’s and 60’s on the scoreboard. Even here he said what he would do to the scoreboards the day he talked to the fans the week he got re-hired. At every other stop year 3 is…
Where would you rank the Cards Defensive line next year? ESPN’s Andrea Adelson released her opnions and I cannot say I disagree much. The Cards are losing a first round draft pick in Sheldon Rankins and a guy in Keith Burgess who should have been drafted. Miami got a steal there. I feel like…
We have reached that time of year in Louisville where it seems that there is not a lot of University of Louisville athletics to keep us entertained. Basketball season is over and most of the recruiting news pertains to 2017 recruits. To me, the recruiting news is not that exciting because kids have a…
