Former University of Louisville wide receiver Damian Copeland, aka Honey Mustard, will miss the 2014 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He sustained a wrist injury in training camp that will require surgery, and will be placed on injured reserve. After a solid NFL Combine, Copeland had been practicing well for the Jags. He posted this on…
This whole ACC thing is just awesome. Checking out the blog for where Louisville plays now and seeing other teams like Florida State, Clemson, and Miami, it’s just great! Now a moment of silence for our former friends/foes Cincinnati and UConn who are still stuck in a conference with East Carolina, Temple, Tulane, and SMU…..Whew!…
It has been a great day in the world of recruiting for Louisville football. The Cards picked up commitments from Khane Pass and Traveon Samuel, who were on campus visiting. Joining them on their visit was one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the class of 2016, Jawon Pass. That’s right, he is the younger…
The Louisville Cardinals just picked up a pretty big commitment for the class of 2015. Khane Pass, a safety from Columbus, Georgia has just become the 11th member of Bobby Petrino’s 2015 recruiting class. Pass is a 3-star prospect on all four major recruiting sites. He is listed at 6’0 and 195 lbs. Rivals ranks…
The first USA Today Amway Coaches Poll was released on Thursday afternoon. Not much surprise near the top as Florida State is the top ranked team. The Louisville Cardinals are 11th under “Others Receiving Votes,” essentially meaning they are ranked 36th in this poll. The Miami Hurricanes are two spots ahead of the Cards. Three…
Today Mike Huguenin, Bryan Fischer and Chase Goodbread posted the latest in their series of dynamic duos. They have been compiling the best duos at every position by league. (click here for full list) Today’s Position was Wide Receivers. It didn’t take long to see a few familiar faces. Here is the excerpt: This…
Change the game. Why not? The following e-mail (below) went out to UofL football season ticket holders on Wednesday afternoon. Apparently, Kentucky couldn’t sell 5,000 tickets that were allotted to them for the UofL-UK game. Actually, they could only sell about half of them. But the game is November 29, so football season would have…
Myles Washington, a running back from New Orleans (John Curtis High School) visited UofL on Tuesday and came away very impressed. “The visit was great,” Washington told CSZ. “They (Louisville) are definitely at the top.” Although Washington is only rated as a 2-star player, that is thought to be a little misleading because he plays…

There are a lot of question marks around this Louisville football team heading into the 2014 season. By the way, the season starts in less than 5 weeks, if you needed a reminder! Anyway, there are things to wonder about like the quarterback spot, playing the 3-4 defense, new coach, new conference, and everything else…
Louisville picked up their 10th commitment for the 2015 class on Monday afternoon. Tim Bonner, an outside linebacker/defensive end from Demopolis, Alabama chose the Cards over Mississippi State and Kentucky. He is listed at 6’5 and 215 lbs. He will likely play both of those positions at UofL. He can play outside linebacker in the…
Bobby Petrino and 6 other ACC coaches will appear on ESPN today and go through what they call the “car wash.” Basically that means they will appear on nearly every show ESPN has to offer, from SportsCenter to their talk radio shows. Petrino will be on SportsCenter at 10:20 and 11:20 a.m. ET this morning….
Ok, so you have your special Tom Jurich Maker’s Mark bottle. Heck, maybe you have 3 of them and a Tim Couch bottle! What’s next? Getting Tom’s signature on it of course! Here is the info you need to get your bottle signed. Info from Kenny Klein:
When the Vegas odds came out that Charlie Strong was the 2-1 favorite to land the head coaching job at Texas, I laughed. I said there was no way that would happen. He may leave someday, but Texas is not the place for him. He had turned down Tennessee, we were heading into the ACC,…
Bobby Petrino can never have enough quarterbacks. He just landed another one. Former Washington State quarterback Tyler Bruggman has told Insidetheville.com that he plans to transfer to Louisville. The redshirt freshman was a 4-star player in high school. When Bruggman decided to leave Washington State, he was granted his release to Louisville, Arkansas, Duke, and Indiana….

It’s getting to be that time where the national publications release their preseason college football polls. There will be many different ones of course. This one is from Lindy’s, who have the Cards at #31 on their countdown. I would expect this to be about where most magazines and other media outlets have the Cards,…
Our beloved Theodore Bridgewater threw out the first pitch at Wednesday afternoon’s Minnesota Twins game. It wasn’t a perfect pitch, but he shouldn’t be showing up on the Not Top 10.
Monday at ACC media day, Bobby Petrino did about 40 interviews. Obviously, a lot of those were just saying the same things over and over…and over. But some things stuck out that he said, of course. One of those was when he was discussing the backup QB job. Will Gardner has not been officially named the…
