Maybe I am just extra giddy about the fact that Louisville is in the ACC, but I am loving all the coverage from ACC Kickoff (media day). In the past, I have usually just said that I am a Louisville fan and that I really don’t care about the rest of our conference. Even in…

Here is another interview that DeVante Parker and Lorenzo Mauldin did at the ACC Kickoff on Sunday. This is with the ACC Digital Network host Jeff Fischel.
It has been a very busy day for seniors DeVante Parker and Lorenzo Mauldin as they are at the ACC Kickoff (media days) in Greensboro, North Carolina. They have been doing different interviews and photo ops all day long. They just met with the media for a little Q & A, and here it is….
The official media predictions will be released on Monday, but I figured I would go ahead and give my predictions for how I think the standings will be in the ACC this season. This prediction will mean about as much as the media one that comes out tomorrow, which is not much at all. The…
Andrea Adelson and the rest of the ACC bloggers for ESPN.com have been counting down the best backups in the conference for the upcoming season. At #2, they highlighted Louisville running back Michael Dyer. Here is what they said about Dyer. I give you my thoughts afterwards… Projected role in 2014: Backup to Dominique Brown. The Cardinals…
Bobby Petrino met with members of the media on Thursday afternoon to give an update on the team, much like Rick Pitino did just a week or so ago. There may not have been any breaking news at this press conference, but I love knowing that the season is now less than 7 weeks away!…
Jeff Greer of the Courier Journal wrote that wide receiver Robert Clark has left the University of Louisville football team and transferred to Samford, which is in Birmingham, Alabama. I am not shocked that he left, because apparently he wanted to be more of “the guy” in the offense. As we know, the Cards are…
ESPN’s Football Power Index, which you can read about here, projects the Louisville Cardinals to have an average season in 2014. They say the Cards will go 7-5. Sure, it’s a winning record, but looking at the schedule, I would think that 7-5 would be viewed as a disappointment among most Louisville fans. Here is…
Redshirt freshman Tyler Bruggman has decided to transfer from Washington State, and it looks like the Louisville Cardinals could be the landing spot for the former 4-star QB (ESPN, Rivals, and Scout) from Phoenix, Arizona.
Tevon Coney is a 4-star linebacker from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and has offers from nearly every big-time school in the country. On Monday afternoon, he tweeted out that he will also be considering the Louisville Cardinals. 247 Sports ranks him as the 11th best inside linebacker in the country. Rivals rates him as the…
Louisville has officially accepted the commitment from 3-star (247 Sports) defensive end/tight end Aaron Cochran from Atlanta, Georgia. It was reported a few weeks ago by himself and his coach that he had committed to the Cards, but it was not official at the time. Cochran is listed at 6’3 and 250 lbs. He also has offers from South…
If you missed your chance to get Louisville-Notre Dame football tickets for the game in South Bend on November 22, you have another chance. These tickets are being sold through Notre Dame, but they still get you into the stadium! Tickets go on sale at 6 pm ET. Click here for the link to buy…
When the Miami Hurricanes visit Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on September 1, they will do so without two linebackers who were expected to contribute in the 2014 season. Alex Figueroa and JaWand Blue were dismissed from the team on Tuesday after being arrested on sexual battery charges involving a 17-year-old girl.
ESPN.com blogger Andrea Adelson recently was able to interview Louisville tight end Gerald Christian, and she posted that on the ACC blog on Monday. Christian looks to have a big season under Bobby Petrino, and I couldn’t agree more. While I think every player on offense will have their best season so far, Christian will…
Will Gragg is rated as a 4-star Tight End on all four major recruiting sites (247 Sports, Rivals, Scout, ESPN). On Monday, he tweeted out his top 6, which he said in no order are: LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas, and Louisville. 247 Sports rates him as the 3rd best tight end in the…
ESPN.com has been releasing their position previews for the ACC recently and saying which team has the best group at each position. Today they previewed the wide receivers, and the “best of the best” goes to Louisville! Of course we already knew that. But it’s always good to see people from around the country take notice….
The Watch List was announced this morning for the Paul Hornung Award, which is given to the nation’s most versatile athlete. 47 players were named to the list, and Louisville defensive back/kick returner Charles Gaines was one of them. From the press release: The Paul Hornung Award, now in its fifth season, is given annually…
There will be plenty of predictions made from now up until the 2014 football season finally starts. As I always say with these, they don’t mean much, but they’re fun to discuss. And also it is interesting to see how national writers view the Cardinals heading into the ACC. I am waiting until kickoff gets closer…
It’s only July, but with the Cards officially in the ACC now, that opening football game against Miami on September 1 feels like it’s right around the corner. Because of that, it seemed like a good time to update you on the wide receiver record books at UofL. Senior DeVante Parker has a chance to…
Kevin Ryan of 247 Sports released a Top 10 for new coaching hires from this off-season. The rankings are based on “past performance, fit at the new school, possibility of future success, and other criteria.” Bobby Petrino was ranked as the 4th best hire. What sticks out if you look at the list is who…
