The bench press. And more enthusiasm and energy. Spring football is almost here!
Month: March 2015
The Louisville Cardinals had their football pro day on Wednesday inside the Trager Center, and there were representatives in attendance from all 32 NFL teams. There were three head coaches there: New England’s Bill Belichick, Pittsburgh’s Mike Tomlin, and Cincinnati’s Marvin Lewis. The cool thing about that to me is that they easily could have…
Love the enthusiasm and energy. Ring that bell!
Bobby Petrino has always been good about keeping the local talent here in town. He did that again yesterday when 3-star defensive lineman Derek Dorsey committed to the Cards. Dorsey attends DuPont Manual High School, which is basically in UofL’s backyard. Proud to announce that I have committed to the University of Louisville!!!!! 🔴⚫️🔴⚫️ 🏈🏈#L1C4…
The 2015 ACC tournament is upon us with games beginning at 1pm today. While some of us are trying to juggle midterms in between matchups, the cards have secured a double bye and will make their first conference tournament appearance on Thursday vs the winner of game 4. Here’s my thoughts on this years bracket… Tuesday,1…
Our student section has gotten a lot of crap the past few years. Some would say deservedly so. But I am here to tell and show you that they indeed brought it vs the #2 Virginia Cavaliers. The Cards won that game 59-57 after Mango (not putting the k) Mathiang confidently nailed the game…
Louisville’s Terry Rozier and Montrezl Harrell were named to the All-ACC Second Team by the league’s coaches on Monday. Harrell may have gotten the shaft on that, but the first team isn’t really bad. Still pretty solid to get two guys on the second team in this basketball conference. Player of the Year Jahlil Okafor,…

Even with the loss to Notre Dame on Wednesday, Saturday’s win against #2 Virginia proved to be big in the polls for the Cards. They jumped up two spots this week to #14 in the AP Poll and up one spot to #13 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Rick Pitino announced at his press conference today that he will coach the Puerto Rico national basketball team this coming summer in two international events. They will play in the Pan American Games in Toronto July 21-25. They will also participate in a 10-team pre-Olympic FIBA qualifying tournament August 25-September 5 in Monterray, Mexico.
It’s no CrumsRevenge video, but not bad.
Video here On Mangok Mathiang’s game winning shot I’ll have to take a look at the tape and I don’t know if we had anybody getting to him. But we obviously wanted to make it hard for Rozier and Montrezl. I thought we defended the possession pretty well. There’s always that could we switch ball…
Video here Opening statement I think we messed up defensively on that last play by running into the screen but our guys did so many good things tonight. I’m really happy we won. It would’ve been a really difficult loss because we got our 35 deflections, we were eight for eleven on the break, we…
Postseason basketball is upon us. Here we go!
MANGOK!!!!!! Is there anything else to be said? Well quite honestly, yes there is. It was a great game before Mangok Mathiang delivered the dagger to beat Virginia. Read that sentence again. My computer almost wouldn’t allow me to even type it. Terry Rozier gets trapped and delivers the ball to the open man. When…
