Tutu Atwell announced today that he has decided to opt out of the 2020 football season with one game remaining so he can start getting ready for the NFL draft. In the 2019 season, Tutu set the Louisville record for receiving yards and tied the school total for receiving touchdowns in a season. He also became the first Louisville player to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a season since Harry Douglas in 2007, he placed seventh on UofL’s single-season receiving yardage chart.
Tutu leaves Louisville with 94 receptions for 1,682 yards and 14 touchdowns in just two seasons. He ranks 11th in school history with 14 touchdowns receptions.
Due to Covid restrictions, we were not allowed on the sidelines to take picture this season. We do have a few that we would love to share with you. All of us at CSZ wish Tutu nothing but the best and will be watching him on Sundays next year and hopefully years to come.
To my teammates, fans coaches, and family, thank you 🙏🏾 💯 pic.twitter.com/UC6qXWh5xD
