The accolades keep rolling in this week for the Cardinals. Today, it was announced that Louisville senior, Myisha Hines-Allen has been tabbed as a finalist for the 2018 Katrina McClain Award. The award, in its inaugural year, honors the top Power Forward in Division I Women’s Basketball.
Coach Jeff Walz is the 2018 ACC Coach of the Year. This marks Coach Walzs first Coach of the Year honor. Under Coach Walz, the Cardinals are 29 – 2 this season, a program-best. Louisville earned its first ACC Regular Season Title despite returning only two starters from a season ago.
No surprise here. Asia Durr is your 2018 ACC Player of the Year. The Douglasville, Georgia native was also tabbed the ACC Preseason Player of the Year. The selection of Durr marks the second time in three years that a Louisville player has earned the title. In 2015-16, Myisha Hines-Allen took home the honor.
