Hopefully a new video comes out everyday. If not, it will be a disappointment. We need all of the football video we can get! This is from Tuesday’s first spring practice.

It is already that time of year again. Spring football begins today, and Bobby Petrino met with the media on Monday to talk about the state of the team. The Cards are in the Sweet 16 (men and women) and spring football is starting. This is a very fun time! Click here to watch the…
Bobby Petrino tweeted out some of the results from the football team’s testing numbers today. These are from the bench press, 40 yard dash, broad jump, and vertical. Reggie Bonnafon is fast and he can jump…just saying. Also, we have a kicker/punter bench pressing 385 pounds. Check out the rest of the numbers and…
The Louisville Cardinals had their football pro day on Wednesday inside the Trager Center, and there were representatives in attendance from all 32 NFL teams. There were three head coaches there: New England’s Bill Belichick, Pittsburgh’s Mike Tomlin, and Cincinnati’s Marvin Lewis. The cool thing about that to me is that they easily could have…
Bobby Petrino has always been good about keeping the local talent here in town. He did that again yesterday when 3-star defensive lineman Derek Dorsey committed to the Cards. Dorsey attends DuPont Manual High School, which is basically in UofL’s backyard. Proud to announce that I have committed to the University of Louisville!!!!! 🔴⚫️🔴⚫️ 🏈🏈#L1C4…
The University of Louisville has announced the dates for the spring football season practices. All of these practices will be open to the public. No time has been announced yet except for the actual Spring Game, which will be at 7 pm.
Over the last few days, there have been plenty of posts on the NFL Combine with information on former Louisville players and how they performed. That is what happens when you send 11 players up to Indianapolis for the event. Here are links to all of the posts from CSZ regarding the NFL combine…
FINALLY!! (The Rock Voice) Ok maybe not that extreme, but we are excited to announce that will we now venture into the realm of the podcast! The Cardinal Sports Zone Podcast will debut this Monday, March 2nd at noon. Justin, Jeremy, and myself are all avid sports talk listeners and enjoy all the shows…
Well this is exciting news. The University of Louisville has announced when spring football practice begins, and they also included a nice little detail that ALL of the spring practices are open to the public. I believe that was the case last year as well. It is just another example of how Bobby Petrino gives…
Well how about that? Good find @TurtleBITW There is often the debate on just how good Louisville’s 2006 Orange Bowl team was, especially considering Michael Bush was injured. Even without Bush, the Cards seemed to be on the doorstep of a National Championship. What if there was a College Football Playoff back then? The following…
I didn’t really expect to post about Keith Olbermann late last night, but he did say that Bobby Petrino was the worst person in sports. I certainly didn’t expect to post about Olbermann for a second day in a row, but here we are. I don’t ever watch his show, so I really don’t care…
Keith also had good things to say about the city of Louisville and was very polite to anyone who tweeted him.
The date has been set for this year’s annual Spring Football Game, and that will be on Friday April 17, 2015. With all of the National Signing Day news yesterday, it was a good time for this to come out and keep the football momentum going. I haven’t seen a time, but I am sure it…
A wide receiver named Devante is coming to Louisville. Sounds good. Bobby Petrino just landed a commitment from talented wide receiver Devante Peete from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Peete ultiamtely chose the Cards over Florida State, but had offers from all over the country. Some of those offers include: Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, LSU, Clemson, Miami,…
One of the many reasons we love Coach Petrino so much is simply because he likes what the fans like. Louisville Football announced today it will host a Football Signing Day Party on February 4th at the Brown and Williamson Club in PJCS. The signing day party tradition was cut under Charlie Strong but made…
The football Cards are hosting 7 official visitors this weekend on campus. With National Signing Day less than two weeks away, official visits are big news right now. Multiple media outlets are reporting that one of those seven visitors, wide receiver Emonee Spence, has committed to Louisville during his visit. He is 6’2 and 181…
Bobby Petrino and his staff have certainly done their part so far when it comes to hosting big time recruits. Last weekend they hosted probably the most impressive group of visitors in quite some time for football, possibly ever for one weekend. This weekend is another important one with some solid names on the list….
The following comes from Andrea Adelson, who covers the ACC for ESPN.com. She recently posted an article wrapping up the first season in the ACC for the Cards. It may not have ended how we wanted it to, but I agree that overall, it was a successful first season in our new league. From ESPN.com:…
The 2014 football season may be over, but the recruiting season never seems to end. With National Signing Day coming up on February 4, the Cards are hosting a lot of big visitors on campus this weekend. Some are already committed to UofL, so the staff will do what they can to solidify those commitments….
Louisville Offensive Coordinator Garrick McGee made a big statement on Thursday evening about the future of the program. He turned down an opportunity to interview for the vacant Offensive Coordinator position at Oklahoma. Why is that big news? McGee is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and played quarterback at Oklahoma. Garrick McGee was connected to a few…
