#5 Louisville (7-1, 0-0 Big East) vs UMKC (4-4, 1-1 Summit)
You don’t go 10-2 and make it to the Sugar Bowl without some great individual performances, and those were recognized by the Big East with their posteason honors. Teddy Bridgewater was named Offensive Player of the Year, and Charlie Strong was Coach of the Year, but the Cards has more players honored…
By Justin Renck: I saw a tweet from the guys at Louisville Sports Live about this the other night, and it got me thinking. Charlie was disappointed with the last Card March before the UConn game. Let’s make it up to him! Everyone that is going to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, let’s have…
By Justin Renck: I said I would not make a post for every single update, and I haven’t. But when there is significant progress or news, it will get posted. As we at CSZ already knew, but were not sure it would be made public, Charlie Strong did have an offer from Tennessee that he…
By Justin Renck: What a rollercoaster story this has been! This has blown conference news out of the water when it comes to how many times I have heard things go back and forth. As of right now (8:05 a.m.), nothing is official, but things are leaning a certain way, so here is the update…

In a triple overtime thriller over the weekend, Louisville commits Terry Rozier and Anton Gill put on a show as they combined for 79 points! Rozier had 40 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Gill had 39 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists as Hargrave beats Kiski 135-117. Check out the video!
When the Sugar Bowl matchup was announced between Louisville and Florida, of course people were going to take to twitter with how they felt about it. It appears that Blake Griffin and former Florida Gator basketball player Chandler Parsons just flat out disrespect the Cards.

By Justin Renck: Sports Illustrated senior writer Pete Thamel tweeted this “BREAKING: Northern Illinois vs Florida State is official in the Orange Bowl, according to a source.” If true, that likely means what a lot of people have been wanting to hear. The Cards should be in the Sugar Bowl, and probably against the Florida…
USA Today released their final BCS projections. Of course the official announcements happen tonight, but it is always fun to speculate. Here is what they had to say about the Cards… Sugar Bowl: Florida vs. Louisville Since the Sugar Bowl can’t get Alabama, the SEC champs, it’ll opt for the next-best thing in 11-1 Florida….
Wow, the always inspiring Patrick Henry Hughes does a great job singing this song about Teddy Bridgewater. Pretty awesome!

By Justin Renck: This is a great “problem” to have. Orange Bowl or Sugar Bowl? Those are the 2 most likely destinations for the Louisville Cardinals after last night’s incredible win at Rutgers. And of all teams to decide where we probably end up, it will be Kent State. The same Kent State team…
By Justin Renck: So this came from the BACKUP QB for DUKE FOOTBALL! Yes, this is the backup QB for a 6-6 team, and he is flexing his twitter muscles! He tweeted this shortly after the Cards beat Rutgers on Thursday night! I apologize for the language!
