The definition of best is “of the most excellent, effective, or desirable type or quality.” As a fan you can use any number of factors to determine who you think is the best. Most fans just use their heart.
I prefer to use my eyes and statistics.
Based on my research, and what I have witnessed, it is my opinion that Louisville has the best receivers in the ACC. I want to also say that they could be top 5 in the country but I have not seen enough of the other receiving corps to fairly make that assessment. The University of Louisville football team will conduct its annual Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Spring Game on Friday, April 13 at 7:30p.m. inside Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Admission to the game is FREE.
Parking lots will open at 2:30 p.m. and gates open at 6:30 p.m. Drink specials will be available on the Norton Healthcare Terrace for only $3. StreetFest will open at 5:30.
All of the events and fan-friendly entertainment is awesome but I’m just here for some football. An epic battle took place Friday night between two big time high school programs in south Florida. Miami Northwestern and Miami Central squared off with the winner a virtual lock to win the district title.
Why am I talking about Florida high school football you may ask? It’s because in this game, 3 UofL Football commits and a least 1 target played each other. So, I figured our site readers may be interested in some of the stats and highlights from these players.
With there now being 17 verbal commitments to BirdGang ’18, there has much talk about a recent commit, Tutu Atwell. The excitement is that he is a dual-threat quarterback from Northwestern high school in Miami Fl. Yes, that is the same school one Teddy Bridgwater attended. The mere mention of Teddy’s name being associated with Tutu, brings another level of expectations and attention. But after you do your research, you will find that he is only ranked as a 2 star by 247sports and 3 star by several other sites. You will also find that he is listed as an athlete and not expected to play QB at Louisville.
But what really does a star rating mean? And who really cares about star ratings? A star rating does not guarantee success at the college or NFL level nor does it restrict being offered scholarships from power 5 schools. Bobby Petrino said he doesn’t care about star ratings but rather he recruits kids that fit his system and kids that can play football. Rick Pitino said he doesn’t care about star ratings either. Tonight we picked up another commit to BirdGang18. Tutu Atwell Jr. is a 3 star athlete out of Northwestern High School. AKA, the same high school also produced another famous Louisville Cardinal who wore the number 5, Teddy Bridgewater. Tutu is a dual threat quarterback that will more than likely move to reciever in Louisville’s offense. He is very talented!
