Bobby Petrino likes quarterbacks. I believe we already knew that. He just got another one as JUCO QB Pat Thomas has sent in his letter of intent to Louisville and he will enroll on May 16. He is listed 6’4 and 185 lbs and is a dual-threat quarterback. He will have 3 years of eligibility at UofL.

Thomas was signed at UAB when Garrick McGee (UofL offensive coordinator) was the head coach there. When McGee came to Louisville, Thomas was released from his letter of intent.

In 2013 at Georgia Military College, Thomas threw for 1,695 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also rushed for 199 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Texas also made a late push to get Thomas, but it wasn’t enough. The big question now will be if the Cards can land Thomas’ teammate, big time running back Jovon Robinson, who visited Louisville last week.

This gives Louisville 7 quarterbacks on the roster, and that does not count incoming freshman Reggie Bonnafon or Tyler Ferguson, who is a transfer from Penn State and will be eligible to play in 2015.
