Check out this weeks episode of LiveWith55! I welcome Cardinal forever Marquis Maybin, CSZ D.O.C. Justin Renck & former Card & DT for the Bengals Carl Powell! I also get a phone call from the notorious Brandon Bender….what did he say? You won’t believe it. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/csz/2015/10/21/livewith55-102115-marques-maybin-justin-renckcarl-powell-brandon-bender If you want to listen to the LiveWith55 podcast…
Month: October 2015
The Cards are 2-4 and I couldn’t be happier to post something about football. Here is a video from after practice on Tuesday from offensive coordinator Garrick McGee and offensive lineman Kiola Mahoni.
On the evening of October 19th, ESPN and ABC dropped a bomb on the University of Louisville: ESPN was airing an episode of Outside the Lines on October 20th focusing on the current University of Louisville Basketball scandal. The episode features the woman at the center of the scandal, Katina Powell. This is her first…
Today was a very weird day. Scandal brought back up. New “Facts” come out. The logical next step was Louisville Basketball gets a commitment from Frankie Hughes, right? The 6’3 Guard picked the Cards over Wisconsin. He also had offers from FSU, Wichita St and the entire M.A.C. (almost). Why pick UL with the scandal…
If you are a UofL fan, today has been a rough day. More accusations hurled and we still don’t know what is fact or fiction. People are Tweeting recruits and former players they believe “snitched” and harassing them. That is not what we do or how we as Louisville fans handle ourselves. Just stop. One…
Well I hate even typing this stuff out and posting it here, but it has to be done unfortunately. Whether things are true or not remain to be seen, but the next step in the allegations against UofL basketball have happened. Katina Powell appeared on Good Morning America this morning, which was child’s play compared…
Bobby Petrino and Reggie Bonnafon met with the media on Monday to talk about the loss to Florida State and also preview this Saturday’s game against Boston College. The transcript for Petrino is below the videos. The Cards face Boston College at 12:30 this Saturday at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
The infamous Katina Powell will make her appearance on national TV on Tuesday. She is supposed to be on Good Morning America, Outside the Lines, and SportsCenter.
If you have any desire to, you can watch the Louisville-FSU game in only an hour. Florida State still wins.
Here are comments after Saturday’s game from Bobby Petrino and Jimbo Fisher. First video credit to TheCrunchZone.com.
Here are some highlights from Saturday’s second Red-White scrimmage for men’s basketball. Deng Adel led all scorers with 35 points on 12-18 shooting.
There is never a bad time to watch this. This is one of those games where you remember where you were when you watched this game. HENRY MILLER!
Welcome to the first edition of This Weekend In Cardinal Athletics or T.W.I.C.A. Every Friday morning I will post the schedule for the upcoming weekend. (Including Monday) Running a little late today but here is what we have to look forward to this weekend in Cardinal Athletics! Friday, October 16 #9 Field Hockey at Boston College…
*Note from Justin Renck: we are very fortunate to have Dallas come on as a contributor to CardinalSportsZone.com. You have probably already read one of here posts on her own personal page, and that was this excellent response to the terrible SI article very recently. OK, back to Dallas…* In less than 24 hours, Bobby…
We here at Cardinal Sports Zone are very happy to say that our radio show on 93.9 The Ville has been extended by a full year! Not too bad considering we just started on June 20, 2015. This will take us until the end of the 2016 calendar year, so there is a lot more…
Jimbo Fisher’s comments after practice on Thursday. He once again has nothing but good things to say about Louisville, as any coach does leading up to the game. And he gives an injury report on his team.
I have said it before and I will say it again: I love when opposing schools have youtube channels and keep them updated with press conferences and preview videos like this. It certainly helps pass the time during the week while you wait for Saturday to get here. If you are like me, you just…
Todd Grantham, Josh Appleby, and James Burgess talked to the media on Wednesday to preview Florida State. Because, why wouldn’t you want to hear from the punter that is making a Heisman run? (If you don’t listen to Ramsey & Rutherford on 93.9 The Ville, you won’t get it.)
Quick and to the point. I like it!
Louisville women’s basketball head coach Jeff Walz spoke to reporters on Wednesday afternoon about his team this season. Cortnee Walton and Taja Cole also had a few things to say.
