Remember back in June of 2015 when (then) UK quarterback Patrick Towles put it out on Instagram that he could not wait to play Louisville again? It was pretty weird. He got outplayed big time by 3rd stringer Kyle Bolin the season before. The more awkward part is that by the time the game got…
Month: January 2016
The ACC has just announced the schedule for the 2016 football season, so now we can begin to fill in the missing pieces of Louisville’s schedule. With that release, here is what we now know. Home games in bold.

I am not sure when the last time is that you watched the NFL Pro Bowl, or when I watched it for that matter. But this Sunday (January 31), the 2016 version of the NFL’s “all-star” game will feature four former Louisville Cardinals. Teddy Bridgewater, Gary Barnidge, Eric Wood, and Elvis Dumervil will all be…
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh CardNation, Don’t you Dare be sour, CLAP your hands for the podcast champ and feeeeeeeeeeeeel the POWERRRRRRRRRRRR! Sorry. If you don’t watch wrestling then you probably didn’t get that. My bad. But as you can tell I am super pumped to bring back the award-winning (I printed it out) longest running episodic post…
While it wasn’t a huge jump, the Louisville Cardinals moved up again in both Top 25 polls this week. Some people were hoping for the outside shot at cracking the top 10. Just beat Virginia Tech and Virginia, and things will fall into place for the looming matchup against North Carolina. Full polls below.
Follow @SwishAppeal on Twitter for the latest Women’s Hoops info. No. 17 Louisville is on a hot streak, winning 11-consecutive games and improving to 6-0 in the ACC. The Cardinals head to the Northeast to take on a familiar foe; the Syracuse Orange on Monday night.
There are two pretty good college football teams in this state. One of them, of course, is Louisville. The other sort of looks like another version of Louisville, and that is Western Kentucky. They are looking so much like another Louisville team that the question could be asked: is Western Kentucky becoming Louisville South? Now…
National Signing Day is coming up on Wednesday, February 3rd. So when your big time commits take visits to powerhouse programs like an Alabama, some people get a little nervous. Now obviously, if you listened to Cardinal Sports Zone on 93.9 The Ville this past Saturday morning, you heard me say that a recruiting expert…
Louisville’s 2016 football recruiting class took a hit tonight when Trinity star Rodjay Burns flipped his commitment from the University of Louisville to Ohio State.
After a disappointing 66-62 road loss to Clemson, the Louisville basketball team seemed to have many more question marks than we thought. Clemson did shoot 28 more free throws than the Cards, which seemed to be the deciding factor in the shocking defeat. That was the first time a Louisville basketball team has lost a…

Opening statement Of all the teams we’ve played, their coaching staff takes away and knows what we run offensively and defensively better than any team in the conference….
Louisville (15-3, 4-1) hits the road today in an ACC matchup against Georgia Tech (11-7, 1-4) and tries to win their 3rd game in a row. Georgia Tech doesn’t have a great conference record, but they have lost all four of those conference games by less than 10 points. Here is a very quick preview…
Big time 2016 wide receiver recruit Desmond Fitzpatrick narrowed his list of schools to four today. Fitzpatrick is a former Louisville commit that decided to open his recruitment back up, which is perfectly within his rights as a high school recruit. If coaches can look for other jobs, then kids can look at other schools…
We at CSZ laugh at this snow. HA HA HA. This mildly cool, swimming weather wont keep us out of the 93.9 studios tomorrow from 10-11 am. The Red Rage Tailgate will join us in studio to recap the week that was and get your ready for the Cards’ trip to Atlanta to take on…
Will miss this big fella. Good luck at the next level!
Not really a huge surprise here, but Tylin Oden has decommitted from the Cards. He was pretty much considered a “soft verbal” after the commitment of Jawon Pass.
The Louisville Cardinals picked up another addition to the 2016 recruiting class on Thursday. Dae Williams, a running back out of Oklahoma, decided to commit to the Cards. Williams was committed to SMU until just a couple of days ago, following his official visit to the University of Louisville.
Louisville had an impressive showing on Wednesday night when they beat Florida State 84-65. Here are comments after the game from Rick Pitino, Donovan Mitchell, Quentin Snider, and Damion Lee. Transcript of Pitino’s comments are below the videos.
