Louisville Offensive Coordinator Garrick McGee made a big statement on Thursday evening about the future of the program. He turned down an opportunity to interview for the vacant Offensive Coordinator position at Oklahoma. Why is that big news? McGee is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and played quarterback at Oklahoma. Garrick McGee was connected to a few…

No surprise to Louisville fans, but Teddy Bridgewater had himself an impressive rookie season in the NFL. The quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings completed 259/402 passes (64.4%) for 2,919 yards. He had 14 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions. He tied or broke all kinds of Vikings rookie records–91 to be exact. Yes, 91. I won’t…
Back in December, wide receiver Dahu Green opened up his recruitment after being committed to the Louisville Cardinals since June. Usually when that happens, the player does not end up committing to that school for a second time. But that may not be the case for Dahu Green.
On Monday afternoon, it was learned that the Louisville Cardinals will not only have to replace Gerod Holliman in the secondary next season, but also James Sample, who will forego his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.
We have just seen a college career come to an end that we won’t soon forget. There are surely going to be some good wide receivers come in and play for UofL over the next several years. And the best ones will undoubtedly be compared to DeVante Parker. He has set a bar that will…
No matter what the situation, anytime there is a verbal commit when it comes to college sports, there is always that chance that the kid could decommit and sign somewhere else. Until they sign the National Letter of Intent, a verbal commit is non-binding. They can get out of it whenever they want. Even with…
Louisville could be closing in on landing a big time running back prospect from Florida. Dexter Williams, a 4-star running back on all four major recruiting sites, decommitted from the Miami Hurricanes on Friday. He committed back in April of 2014 but has taken plenty of other visits since then, including an official visit to…
The football season is over for the Louisville Cardinals. While the 9-4 record is very good and I would call the season a success, that will be for another post. This one is just quick knee-jerk reactions to the Belk Bowl. The Louisville Cardinals fell to the Georgia Bulldogs 37-14 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Cards…
Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino spoke with the media on Monday afternoon in Charlotte at the media day for the Belk Bowl. The Cards will take on the Georgia Bulldogs tonight at 6:30 pm ET. Video from thecrunchzone.com.
Video from ACC Digital Network. Looks like the Cards have made the most of their time in Charlotte so far.
Highly touted wide receiver prospect Dahu Green tweeted earlier that he has opened up his recruitment, but will still consider Louisville. I have decided to re-open my recruitment, with The University of Louisville still strongly in mind — Dahu Green (@Dahu_Green18) December 24, 2014
Right after the men’s basketball game ended on Tuesday night against Cal State Northridge, UofL twitter didn’t turn all of its attention to the Kentucky basketball game. Instead, news came out from ESPN680 radio that running back Michael Dyer would not play for the Cards in next week’s Belk Bowl. So then, the speculation started…
Hopefully he adds to the highlights next Tuesday!
What’s going on CardNation? I know what you are thinking. Mannnnnnnnn it’s been a long time since we got an edition of 55. Well in a few weeks the 2015 season of 55 will be up and rolling. Every year I choose to work a seasonal job for some extra Xmas cash. I liked the place…
The Louisville Cardinals are certainly making the offensive line a priority in the 2015 recruiting class. They just picked up a big commitment from Kenny Thomas, a 6’6 330 lb offensive lineman from Prattville, Alabama. I am now committed to the University of Louisville! #GoCards🔴 — Kenny Thomas (@Kenny79_) December 17, 2014
Bobby Petrino has just landed another commitment from a junior college player. This one is from running back Jeremy Smith, who plays for Fresno City College in California. Smith is a 3-star player on 247 Sports and they also rank him as the 6th best junior college running back in the country.
Another one of this weekend’s visitors has committed to the Louisville Cardinals. This time it is Junior College defensive end Drew Bailey. He is from Atlanta, Georgia and plays for Pearl River Community College in Mississippi. https://twitter.com/Drew_Foreal/status/544266562224787456
Not shocking news, but it appears that Louisville safety Gerod Holliman will enter the NFL Draft next season. From Bleacher Report:
According to Mike Hughes of InsideTheVille.com, Louisville has landed a commitment from JUCO offensive lineman Justin Sandifer. He was one of the visitors that UofL hosted this weekend. Junior College players can sign with teams this coming Wednesday, and that is what Sandifer intends to do. So that should mean he and fellow JUCO offensive…
Former Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen showed great class and respect with this tweet. Thanks for spending money in our city buddy. KSR party is crazy, having a blast BUT couldn't help myself. Hate it so much even staying in Indiana. #DownwiththeL pic.twitter.com/LWmaflY4Aj — jared lorenzen (@JaredLorenzen22) December 14, 2014
