I am about a day late getting to this, but it happens. Life happens. Anyways, if you missed it, Louisville football got another commitment for the 2016 class when Caleb Tillman made his pledge to the Cards. Tillman is a defensive lineman from Dothan, Alabama and is a former Mississippi State commit. Most sites list him as a defensive end, but one also has him as a defensive tackle. At his size of 6’3 and around 265 lbs, that is more likely suited for a defensive end.
The regular season may be over, but recruiting season is in full swing for college football. Bobby Petrino and his staff will be hosting a crop of impressive visitors this weekend. Most of them are committed to other schools, so we will see if any of them flip to UofL. Let’s take a look at the list…
*Like always, the “four recruiting sites” are Rivals, Scout, 247, and ESPN*
Louisville picked up their 10th commitment for the 2015 class on Monday afternoon. Tim Bonner, an outside linebacker/defensive end from Demopolis, Alabama chose the Cards over Mississippi State and Kentucky. He is listed at 6’5 and 215 lbs.
He will likely play both of those positions at UofL. He can play outside linebacker in the 3-4, and play on the line in the 4-3. He could be similar to what Lorenzo Mauldin will do this season.
One of the most important things when a new coach is brought in is who he will bring with him. The coaching staff he hires is a huge part of what kind of success that will hopefully follow. Bobby Petrino seems to have put together a great staff here at the University of Louisville. While we were all pretty attached to the former staff, this one seems to be solid as well.
