This past weekend was a big one on the basketball recruiting front. Of course, the Cards don’t have many scholarships over the next couple of years, so you won’t hear too many names that they are going after. However, the weekend did produce the news that a 5-star small forward in the class of 2016 will be taking an official visit to Louisville.

V.J. King, a 6’7 wing from Fairfax, Virginia will visit the University of Louisville on May 19. Rivals rates him as the 11th best player in the country, and ESPN has him as the 18th best. He announced this visit after playing in Lexington this weekend. At the moment, he has no other official visits planned.

While he has not listed any favorites, his four “warm” schools on his 247 Sports profile are Louisville, Ohio State, Georgetown, and UConn.

Kenny Johnson is the lead recruiter for King, which is always a good thing.
