On Sunday afternoon, Coach Scott Satterfield and staff learned they would be picking up former Vanderbilt offensive lineman Ean Pfeifer.

He comes to the Cards with two years of eligibility left. Ean is listed at 6-4 and 285 lbs. Tight Ends Coach Stu Holt had an in-home visit with him a couple of weeks ago. The coaching staff has been recruiting him as a tight end instead of his current position as an offensive lineman. Ean looked at other schools such as Baylor, SMU, and others before committing to Louisville.
Ean was recruited by Memphis, Arkansas State, and Vanderbilt out of high school as a 3 Star offensive tackle. He enrolled at Vanderbilt in 2015 and redshirted that season. Ean started in 2016 after Vanderbilt lost a starter to a season ending injury. He gained Freshman All-SEC Team honors that year for his performance. In 2017, he started the first ten games of the season before getting injured and not playing in their final two games. He left Vanderbilt in June and will be eligible immediately.
