Born and raised in Louisville. THS, U of L and Sig Ep for life. I appreciate everyday that I wake up. My 2 boys are my greatest accomplishment in life.
On May 1st we all heard “With the 109th pick in the NFL Draft, the Titans selected Dez Fitzpatrick!” On Tuesday, August 31st the Titans waived the rookie fourth-round pick. One day later, the Titans decided to not let Dez get away when they signed him to their practice squad. We all know his talent…
Jeremy Wahman 8-4 We are going to exceed expectations this season. Malik will find a rhythm early and grab the momentum to have a 3k yard passing season with only 9 ints. We will have 3 700 yards receivers and 2 700 yards rushers. This will accompany a top 20 defense that is vastly improved….
Every year during game week of the opening game, we give you a look back at a previous game between the two teams. This will be the first ever meeting between Louisville and Ole Miss, so it gives me an opportunity to bring to you my favorite game of all time. Being a Bengals and…
Over the past eight weeks, every Monday morning we released a different position breakdown of the Louisville 2021 football squad. Justin Krueger and Dalton Pence combined to give you every single bit of information you need to get to know this years edition of Cardinal football. These breakdowns are jam packed with everything you kneed…
If you are a regular reader of Nunnsense then you probably have read at some point where I have said that I expect the 2021 Louisville football team to look more like the 2019 team than the 2020 team. Most of you that have read that assume I meant the offense will be just as…
Las Vegas over/under projected regular season win totals have been a pretty good indicator of how well your team will do in the upcoming season. I rely on them quite a bit but they are definitely not a 100% projector of how your season will play out. In 2018 most Vegas casinos set Louisville’s win…
While there is plenty of excitement that comes with the release of the preseason depth chart, I don’t put a ton of stock into it. It’s just something for us to talk about. It’s not a certainty that all theses guys will be on the 2 deep roster on gameday. Sometimes coaches put players names…
I love watching these players develop and grow. It’s not always easy to tell who is going to continue to get better but I like to try. I’ve been watching these guys closely ever since they stepped on campus. I know there are many guys who are going to have a great season but I…
As you may have already heard here at CSZ, Louisville women’s basketball team will host Michigan on December 12th as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The last time Louisville faced Michigan was at the YUM Center for the 2nd round of the 2019 NCAA tournament. Here is the recap of that victory. That game…
I know that every one of you have seen the Honored Jerseys that adorn Cardinal Stadium. I look up at those honored Jerseys every single time I am in that stadium. Often times I find myself reminiscing about the days that some of those guys played. Contrary to popular belief at CSZ, I am not…
On Monday evening, the Louisville Men’s Basketball team held a charity softball game benefiting Jaxen’s Journey (www.Jaxensjourney.com). Jaxen’s Journey is a charity started by UofL strength and conditioning coach Andy Kettler and his wife who lost their son, Jaxen, to brain cancer at the age of two in July 2016. The charity is to help…
Back in January, Dalton Pence and I took our first look at Louisville’s 2021 football schedule and gave your our thoughts and an estimated win percentage of each game in this 2021 Schedule Breakdown. We are now in August and the season is about a month away. It seems the transfers have all moved on…
It’s getting closer and closer to the start of the season. I’m not trying to rush summer away, but after the Covid plagued season of 2020 that had us guessing week to week who would be available to play or even if the other team had enough players to play, Im just a little excited…
You guys know, I do Exit Interviews with willing players when they leave. Most of those interviews depend on reasons for leaving. I didn’t reach out to any of the players who transferred. I only touched base with the three early entrants into the NFL draft. Here are those three interviews. That said we need…
Hello everyone! It’s been a minute since you’ve heard from me. Allow me to explain. You see, since the beginning of the year when I brought you the exit interviews of Tutu, Dez and Javian, I just lost the desire to write. My passion had dissipated. I think not being on the sidelines last season…
This week’s photo gallery is one of re-edits. Many of these pictures did not appear in the original game photo galleries of the game in which they were taken. Some of them did, but not edited. Most of these I edited at a later date. You may recognize some of them that I posted individually…
One thing we at CSZ love to bring you are photo galleries of your favorite Cards and every Cardinal sporting event that we can. Unfortunately, Covid prevented us from photographing most everything this past year or so. However, I was able to photograph a track meet, a softball game and a soccer match. JK was…
Coach Scott Satterfield is set to compete in the 14th annual Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament. He will face off against a field of other current and former head coaches all vying for their share of $320,000 in scholarship and charity. The event will be held May 3 – 4 at Reynolds Lake Oconee…
Normally, around late January to early February, I have a horse I really love and by late April, I know if that horse will win or not. But this isn’t a normal year. A few short weeks ago I was about 90% sure it would come down to just how much Life Is Good would…
